MDM Books is designed as a standalone utility tool to help teachers, administrators, and staff manage Mid-Day Meal (MDM) records, including student enrollment, rice usage, and daily expenditures.
Local Data Only: All data entered into MDM Books is stored locally on your device's internal SQLite database.
Personal Data: While the app allows you to enter student-related information (such as enrollment numbers), this data is treated as sensitive. It is stored exclusively within the app's private internal storage, protected by Android's system-level security and encryption. This data is inaccessible to other applications and never leaves your control.
No Cloud Syncing by Developer: We do not collect, transmit, sync, harvest, or store your daily records, financial data, or any entered student information on our external servers.
You maintain full control over the data you input into the app. The developer does not collect, access, or share your personal data.
3. Permissions & Internet Usage
To provide core functionality, the application interacts with your device in the following ways:
Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
The app requests permission to display notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS) to remind users about daily MDM record updates. These notifications are generated locally on your device and do not involve any data collection, tracking, or transmission.
Storage (Scoped Storage):
The app generates, saves, and prints PDF reports directly to your device. It utilizes Android's secure "Scoped Storage" framework, meaning it does not require broad permission to read your personal files or photos outside of the app's specific directories.
PDF Export & Sharing:
The app allows you to export and share generated PDF reports using third-party applications (such as WhatsApp, email, or other sharing services) through Android’s native sharing system. These actions are initiated explicitly by you, and the data is transferred directly from your device. MDM Books does not collect, store, or monitor any data shared through these external applications.
Internet Access & Google Play Services:
The application operates primarily offline and does not transmit any user-entered data over the internet. However, the application utilizes the Google Play Integrity API to ensure the app's security and 'App Update' to keep the application current. These services may collect certain device identifiers and diagnostics as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Local Notifications & Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM):
The app allows you to set custom, precise daily reminders to update your MDM records. To ensure these reminders trigger at the exact time selected by you, the app requests the android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission. These reminders are fully user-configured, operate entirely offline on your device, and are not shared with the developer. The app does not transmit your schedule, selected reminder times, or any usage data over the internet.
4. Local Data Backup Feature
To prevent data loss, MDM Books allows users to manually back up their app data.
Local Storage Only: All backup files are created and stored exclusively on your device's local storage.
No Cloud Auto-Backup: The application does not automatically sync or upload your backup files to Google Drive, external servers, or any other cloud service.
User Control: You are entirely responsible for keeping your local backup files safe. The developer (Shyama Database) has absolutely no access to these files.
5. No Analytics or User Tracking
At this time, MDM Books does not use any third-party background analytics, tracking, or crash reporting tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics).
No tracking of user behavior or collection of personal usage data by the developer.
No third-party advertising SDKs are included.
If the application encounters an error, no automatic data or crash report is sent to the developer.

Users are encouraged to cross-reference all calculations with the official Mid-Day Meal (MDM) portal or government registers provided by their respective Department of Education. This app does not pull data from any government API.
7. Developer Safety & Liability Disclaimer
MDM Books is provided strictly as an assistive calculation tool. By using this application, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
No Guarantee of Accuracy: While the app is designed to automate math, calculations are automated and should be verified before official use. Software bugs, device issues, or incorrect user data entry can lead to wrong calculations.
Government Rules & Rate Changes: Mid-Day Meal allocation rates, financial rules, and formulas may change periodically. The developer does not guarantee that the app's internal formulas will always match the latest government updates. Users must ensure the calculations match current official guidelines.
Not an Official Record: The PDFs and digital records generated by this app are for personal reference and typing assistance only. They are not a legal substitute for official physical school registers or government-issued audit documents.
Manual Verification Required: Users must manually recheck and verify all generated calculations, stock balances (such as rice and funds), and PDF reports before copying them into official physical registers or submitting them to any educational authority.

Device Integrity Checks: To ensure data integrity and prevent unauthorized tampering, the application performs basic security checks on the device environment. The app may restrict functionality or refuse to run on devices that are rooted, use hooking frameworks, or appear to be tampered with.
Data Deletion: You can delete all records by clearing the app's Storage & Cache in Android Settings or by uninstalling the app. Once removed, all locally stored records are permanently deleted from your device. Since we do not store your data on our servers, the developer cannot recover or delete this data for you.

This app is a professional tool intended for use by adults (Educational Staff). It is not designed for or targeted at children. The app does not collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
